2020 is a mess but I am blessed.

Despite the fact that 2020 is the shittiest year ever, there are still a few things I’m thankful for:

Living in a place where people are not ignorant.

Living in a place where people believe in science.

Having good health because I live in a place where people are not ignorant and believe in science.

The healthcare workers fighting on the front lines to save the world.

The people I got to connect and reconnect with even during quarantine because of the internet and by that I mean ZOOM.

Real time and meaningful conversations.

Online art museums, saved myself a couple hundred dollars traveling virtually.

Having a passion.

Pursing the passion.

The incredible award show set designs like this one by The Weeknd from the AMA — I guess with no live audience because of COVID-19 the organizations now have more budget to spend on set design?

The chance to educate myself on important social issues.

Being able to voice my opinion freely.

Being able to stand by my beliefs unapologetically.

Being able to exercise my rights.

Giving less fucks about my inner-critic and what others think, it’s a work in progress but it’s going.

People that trusted me even when I didn’t believe in myself.

Iced coffee.

Iced coffee with oat milk.

Christopher Nolan.

Netflix, duh.

Books.

Audio books.

Friends who support me even though I always forget to text them back.

Quality time with family not because I’m stuck at home.

The future and the possibility that 2021 will be better.

Last but not least, I’m grateful for myself, for not giving up and pushing through 2020 even though IT REALLY SUCKS. Thank you.
